Week one: Hot day, coupla ring-ins, no real bowlers to speak of, let’s do this!
I open the bowling with Dennis... Good times.
No major break throughs apart from a dropped catch from Hyndo off my bowling... I’m upset and hold back the tears for fear of retribution. Scarface dropped a dolly as well. That ‘clump’ of grass also played havoc with his fielding.
They get a fairly good start but we break it with a wicket from can’t remember.
Can’t remember much else... Hot day. Todman took catch of the year after a ball was belted straight at him.
Big Hucca bowled well and kept well too. Hyndo didn’t. Neither did I, no wickets off 186,000 overs from me. I can’t walk today.
Toddy bowled well for big girl’s blouse. They batted well though, all out for 330 or there abouts (ed: 357). We’ve got Gorgeous George batting this week, it’s all on you pal. Nah, we all need to do our bit. I need to break mine and Hyndo’s equal batting average... Gay.
Anyway, see you Saturday when we win.

Week two: Oh dear... Oh deary, deary, deary me.
I turn up at 12.30pm for the 1pm start and I’m the only Barny in sight. 12.45pm and OCL Marty Vana, Dennis and Big Hucca arrive. Excellent, that makes 4! At least we can start to bat. We’re only chasing 353. They have 8 fielders, good times.
Rob and Marty open. Rob... Golden duck! He’s not happy, we’ve still got only 4 and I’m worried, really worried! In goes Dennis. Marty hold up his end for a few overs with Dennis. I think Den goes next for not much. Todman and Gorgeous arrive plus the 2 new boys. We’re slowly putting a team together! In goes new recruit Mick. He looks pretty good. Bit of form we all think. Marty is the next to go for 5. BNCC = 3 for f*ck all. Gorgeous... You’re in mate. No pressure as we’re only chasing 353 for the win and the line up to follow is, well, waiting for you to save the day. Gorgeous lofts one to the boundary for the first for the innings and things are looking up! Next thing we know... OUT! George caught behind for 5. OH F*CK, we’re in trouble. As skipper I charge myself with the recovery... GOLDEN, caught behind... Shit. Big Hucca comes in and he and Mick go on to put a nice little partnership together. Hucca is next to fall for 40 odd and Mick made 27 or so. The next wickets are all very very cheap. Hyndo = 2 runs. It takes him 6 overs to score those 2 runs because we are all heckling the crap out of him as he and I are on exactly the same batting average of 27.33 for the season. Hyndo makes his 2 and he’s RAPT!! Awesome... Todman, stuff all. Who else? Who cares.
Anyway, we lose by roughly 250 runs and Monash decide to pack it in and go home. Awesome.
